Portfolio Management Made Simple!
The Afternic domain listing service offers you the tools to quickly and easily manage your portfolio, allowing you to maximize your profits. Below are simple instructions for downloading and uploading your portfolio.
This is how it works:
DOWNLOAD
Downloading is as simple as "click and save". Use Excel, Access or other spreadsheet or database application to save your portfolio file.
1. Click here to download your portfolio
2. Click "Save" on the File Download Box (see sample below)
3. Save your file with a .csv extension (see sample below)
UPLOAD
Uploading is a simple matter, whether you wish to upload one, or many domains.
If you have a current portfolio of listed domains:
1. First, you will need to download your portfolio
2. Click "File" on our menu bar, then "Save"
3. Save your file with a .csv extension (see sample below)
4. Open the file with your spreadsheet or database application (Excel, or Access, for example)
5. Enter new domains, including all of the relevant fields, as noted below (see CSV Format below)
6. Once you have finished entering data, save the file and click here to upload
If you are NEW to Afternic and do not have a current portfolio of listed domains:
1. First, please download the provided template
2. Save the file to your computer and open it in your spreadsheet or database application (Excel or Access, for example)
3. Open the spreadsheet; you'll note that there is an example pre-populated in the file
4. Replace the example with your domain, adding additional domains on new rows using the same format until you have entered all of your data
5. Save your file with a .csv extension (see sample below)
6. Upload the file by clicking here
7. You will receive an email confirmation once your upload has been processed

| Each row of the CSV file represents an active domain name listing with the following fields in this order. All fields must be present even if they do not contain any data. *Fields 1. Name and 2. Minimum offer are required for all listings. To maximize selling potential it is recommended that all fields be completed. All prices must be in USD. | |
| FIELD | DESCRIPTION |
| *1. Name | For International Domain Names (IDNs), you can either enter the domain name in native characters or the encoded ACE notation (ex. native characters: éxâmplè.com or ACE: xn--xmpl-boa3bb.com). |
| *2. Minimum offer | The minimum offer that a potential buyer is allowed to submit. |
| 3. Reserve price | Optional, leave zero or blank to mean reserve is "infinite." A Buyer's offer that meets this price will be automatically accepted after seven days if it is not superseded by a higher offer. |
| 4. Floor price | Setting a floor price is required if you submit an Buy Now Price and choose Expanded Promotion. The Floor price is a binding, minimum price for which you are willing to sell your domain on BuyDomains and its resellers. It applies only to domains for which you have chosen Expanded Promotion. Your Sales Executive can help you select Floor and Buy Now Prices. |
| 5. Buy Now Price | Optional, leave zero or blank if not set. If set, this price is your asking - or "buy now" - price. A Buyer's offer that meets this price is an immediate purchase. |
| 6. Top category | The top-level category name. Full category list available here. |
| 7. Second-level category | The second-level category name. |
| 8. Column Ignored | Will be ignored by upload. Please continue to park your domains with ActiveAudience and change your DNS records (ns1.afternic.com and ns2.afternic.com) to records provided by ActiveAudience customer. |
| 9. Description | Optional. A text description, maximum length 255 characters. You cannot use HTML tags or double quotes in this field. |
| 10. Traffic | Optional. Ignored by upload. |
| 11. Auction Status |
Optional. Traffic field must be present in csv when using this field (blank or 0 are okay).
This field allows you to change the status of a listing. Set to 0 or leave blank if you do not want to change the status.
1 = For sale (Basic Promo) 2 = For sale (Expanded Promo) 4 = Closed |
| 12. Afternic Listing Page | You may opt to display your Afternic sales listing on your domain for free. Site visitors will be able to make offers without leaving your domain. After uploading, change your DNS to ns1.afternic.com and ns2.afternic.com
